Lot Information

Lot 1

Project Kilbirnie are committed to making their community a better place to live and in particular want to develop their plans for the vacant site at Kilbirnie Public Park. In support of this, there is the need to establish a strong collaborative relationship with consultants capable of servicing the potential development project throughout all stages from feasibility and option appraisal through to detail design and contract completion. Currently, however, Project Kilbirnie is not in a position to enter into an agreement for full consultancy services for the entire project, but in the short term they need to engage professional assistance to define the project brief; consult further with stakeholders and the community; develop the Business Plan; and produce a scheme to RIBA stage 2, Concept Design (including costs), to a suitable level of detail and scope to meet the requirements of applications to major funders, in particular the Big Lottery Community Assets programme. Development funding has been secured to allow appointment of professional support to undertake this initial stage of activity. This appointment relates to the required architect led design team services, and for this, Project Kilbirnie would wish to enter into a single appointment and would expect it to be inclusive of any input required from other consultants. The design team will be required to collaborate closely with Project Kilbirnie sub-groups and the appointed Business Planner in developing the strategic plans for the project and will be expected to complete the necessary activities to allow a submission to the Big Lottery Community Assets programme in July 2018.
