The Formulation Unit within the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences provides the Cancer Research UK with facilities to produce experimental anti-cancer drugs for clinical trials in patients. The Unit has the ability to formulate, test and manufacture new anti-cancer agents for clinical trial. Analytical methods are developed to test stability and to allow shelf life prediction of the new formulations. Analytical testing continues during the clinical phase to ensure continued product performance. To be able to support the progress of anti-cancer compounds or products the Unit requires modern and performing to the highest standard analytical equipment. The University of Strathclyde required a Liquid Chromatography mass spectrometry instrument for CRUK, including installation, customer support, delivery, installation and commissioning, and warranty and subsequent maintenance.
