Insurance and Claims Handling Service
Notice Description
SFRS was required to abandon a tender exercise for Insurance and Claims Handling Service in March 2018 as a result of receiving no valid tender submissions from the bids submitted. As a result it has been necessary to extend current arrangements with the existing service provider for a period not exceeding 12 months to ensure that SFRS has the proper insurance and claims handling service provision in place. During this 12 month period SFRS will undertake a new procurement process leading to the award of a new contract provision from 1 April 2019

Procurement Information

In accordance with Article 32 of Public Sector Directive 2014/24/EU, a contracting authority may use the negotiated procedure without prior publication "where no tenders or no suitable tenders or no requests to participate or no suitable requests to participate have been submitted in response to an open procedure or a restricted procedure, provided that the initial conditions of the contract are not substantially altered and that a report is sent to the Commission where it so requests". As a result of receiving no valid bids, it has been necessary to extend current arrangements with the existing service provider for a period not exceeding 12 months to ensure that SFRS has the proper insurance and claims handling service provision in place. During this 12 month period SFRS will undertake a new procurement process leading to the award of a new contract provision from 1 April 2019
