Review of Holiday Activity Programme for disabled children and young people
Notice Description
Market Engagement event only which will review possible solutions for The holiday Activity Programe for children and young people with disabilities. This is a large and complex service which requires an innovative and solutions focussed approach and the City of Edinburgh Council are proposing a Solutions Partnership. To this end we are keen to engage with a range of providers who would be interested in providing a range of activities in the school holiday period. Lot Information
Lot 1
Aims and Objectives of Service for approx. 450 children and young people use the service each year with around 180 attending each week across 4 venues. To provide fun, exciting, age appropriate and challenging activities to school aged children and young people with a significant disability during the school holidays. To offer support to activity providers in the mainstream sector to ensure disabled children and young people can be included in their local community or activity of choice. Children and young people receive support to meet their health care, behavioural and personal care needs. To work in partnership with families, schools and any other services the child accesses to ensure consistency and continuity of care. We would like to invite Providers to a Market Event on Thursday 26th April to give us your thoughts on how the issues of the service can be addressed.
