The Board has set up a "Pensions Working Group" (PWG), which consists of four of its members, to liaise with the advisor and oversee the pension review process. There will be no officer involvement in this review. The PWG has been tasked to undertake the following review which forms the Consultants brief: Invitation To Tender for Pensions Options & Consultation Advice April 2018 Make no changes to the current pension offering for existing colleagues but to offer a fair option for new colleagues; De-risk the pension scheme; Review the cost of the pension scheme; Review the discretions policy currently in place with the Local Government Pension scheme. Advise on any human resource issues and colleague impact arising from any proposed recommendations.
