Clyde Gateway Developments Ltd. seeks to treat existing contamination predominantly in respect of hexavalent chromium compounds within the groundwater regime and to thereafter undertake earthworks to create remediated development sites.

The scope of works for the Remediation & Earthworks at Shawfield Phase 2 is confirmed to be as follows: - Removal of existing boundary fences, obstructions etc. - Breaking up of ground floor slabs, hardstandings and existing surfaces; - Remediation works which will entail the controlled application of a diluted solution of calcium polysulphide and ferrous sulphate heptahydrate by injection techniques within the ground in defined areas; - Earthworks to desired levels and introduction of capping layer utilising approved materials; and - Formation of development platforms to defined levels.
