Notice Description
The aim of the programme is to prepare safe, competent and caring Operating Department Practitioners (ODP's) that are able to deliver high quality care in all areas of perioperative practice. The programme must prepare students to be proficient in the role of an ODP within anaesthesia, surgery and post-anaesthesia care, to the level required to be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The aim of the programme is to prepare safe, competent and caring Operating Department Practitioners (ODP's) that are able to deliver high quality care in all areas of perioperative practice. The programme must prepare students to be proficient in the role of an ODP within anaesthesia, surgery and post-anaesthesia care, to the level required to be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Options: To future proof this contract it has been decided that a for information only question will be asked in the possibility of running a degree course that picks up from the learning of the two-year course being described in the Specification.
Renewal: The collaboration between the successful supplier and relevant NHS teams aims to support the programme over a 4-year period with an option to extend for a further 24 months.
