1.1 The Contract will involve renovation and alteration works to approximately seventeen properties at Juniper Terrace, Juniper Place and Mount Vernon Avenue, Barrachnie, Glasgow. The Contract Works are envisaged to include; a) Replacement of the existing bathroom suite including replacement of existing sanitaryware (including supply and waste pipework), shower, wall finishes, floor finishes, extract ventilation, decoration and builderswork; b) Creation of a new ground floor WC room including construction of a new stud partition, door and opening, sanitaryware (including supply and waste pipework), shower, wall finishes, floor finishes, decoration and builderswork; c) Replacement of the existing electrical and lighting installation and wiring; d) Replacement of the existing kitchen fittings, floor coverings, wall finishes and extract fan installation; e) Installation of new interlinked smoke, heat and CO detectors; f) New Mains Isolator installation; g) New Internal Wall Insulation (IWI); h) Replacement of existing ceiling linings and framing; i) Plaster and plasterboard repairs; j) Replacement of existing pass and store doors; k) Improving existing loft insultation; l) Breaking out and replacing existing concrete floor within the kitchen area; m) Wet rot replacement works to slip rafters, bridles and sarking boards; n) Chemical treatment to roofing timbers within loft spaces; o) Insecticidal treatment to existing roof timbers; p) DPC injection to ground floor walls; q) Removal of asbestos containing materials; r) Masonry paintworks to existing external walls; s) Gas Central heating replacement work.
