Renfrewshire Council, on behalf of Renfrewshire Leisure (RL) are seeking to secure insurance cover (excluding broker services) for RL, through the creation of a Framework Agreement for the following types of insurance; - Property Damage including BI and terrorism - Combined Liability (Employers, Public & Products Liability), including claims handling - Motor Fleet, including claims handling - Fidelity Guarantee/ Employee Dishonesty - Trustee and Trust Fund Indemnity - Group Personal Accident/ Travel - Fine Art

It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commence of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below: Employer's (Compulsory) Liability Insurance = 5million GBP Professional Indemnity Insurance = 5million GBP Product Liability Insurance = 10million GBP Statutory third party motor vehicle insurance in accord wit the provisions of the current Road Traffic Acct 1988 to serve the contract (as amended) - (Note: if the Tenderer permits its employees or anyone else used in the performance of this contract be it to use their own vehicles in the fulfilment of the contract then we will require a letter from the Tenderer confirming that the Tenderer has put in place, and continues to implement on an on going basis, arrangements to ensure that their employees are appropriately and adequately insured to drive their vehicles on the business of the company). http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/hse40.pdf Tenderers will be licensed to transact business in the UK and authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. Tenderers will have a minimum Standard and Poor's/ Fitch/ AM Best rating of A-. Where a tenderer is a managing agent, a firm commitment to the required insurance covers will be required from the party insuring the risk and who is licensed to transact business in the UK and authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority."
