Argyll and Bute Council is aiming to confirm entitlement to council tax single person discount as efficiently and effectively as possible, with minimum impact on both the taxpayer and the Council, highlighting and addressing any potentially fraudulent claims, to enable the removal of the discount where appropriate, and increase the amount of Council Tax collected.
