Scottish Ministers through the Social Security Directorate (SSD), are looking to award a contract for the creation and delivery of the Assessment Service to support the Scottish replacement benefit for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This contract is specifically focussed on the design and implementation of the new assessments service, utilising the technology solution being delivered in a separate contract and running in parallel to this delivery.

Scottish Government is seeking a Service Provider to: - design the service (through a proposed third party COTS assessments tool) to support Assessments. The requirement includes the service design and development of the business processes and the management of the delivery of the technology solutions to initially support PIP Assessments. - conduct a review and seek views on how they would interact with the development of the tool to deliver the Assessments capability.
