Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, commonly known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), is conducting a tender titled "NP675/18 Neurosurgery Consumables," aimed at securing neurosurgery-specific consumables within the healthcare industry. The procurement process is currently complete, with the tender period having ended on 22 October 2018. This open procedure allows for broad participation and covers several delivery addresses across the UKM region. Key contracts arising from this framework include notable allocations for items such as Dural sealants, nose cones, and shunt valves, with awarded suppliers that consist of reputable organisations like Integra NeuroSciences Limited and B. Braun Medical Limited, among others.

This contract presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the medical supply sector, particularly those specialising in neurosurgery products and related consumables. Companies that can meet quality standards and demonstrate technical capability are encouraged to explore participation in future tenders and framework agreements. Suppliers sufficiently qualified in manufacturing sterile, single-use medical products and with the capacity for timely delivery would be particularly well-suited to compete. The long-term nature of the framework agreement provides further potential for ongoing business growth, particularly for large suppliers looking to establish robust partnerships within the NHS framework.
