Summary of the contracting process

Queens Cross Housing Association Ltd is seeking a main contractor for the conversion of six former offices into residential flats, located in Glasgow, UK. This procurement process is currently in the award stage, having recently concluded a competitive tender. The project's budget is approximately £300,000, with a contract signed on 13 August 2019, and the primary procurement method is an open procedure focusing on works. The tender has strict criteria, evaluating submissions based on a balance of price (70%) and quality (30%), with bids being accepted electronically until the deadline of 12 November 2018.

This project presents significant opportunities for construction and building services companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), capable of handling residential conversion works. Firms with expertise in housing, community amenities, and those experienced in competitive tender submissions would be well-positioned to participate. Successful engagement in this procurement could enable contractors to expand their portfolios, enhance their reputations, and create community benefits through the delivery of quality residential developments in the Glasgow area.
