This contract has now been awarded. This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice to indicate that Highlands and Islands Enterprise has now entered into contract with TechnoAlpin for the provision of a snow factory and snow guns.
Procurement Information
Whilst the funicular railway is out of use due to investigations into potential structural issues, the accelerated purchase of key equipment has been identified by the multi-agency Cairngorm Mountain Response Group to create enabling snow conditions to access lower level ski areas from the existing tows. Since the skiing season is about to start, it is urgent that this is completed as soon as possible to minimise the impact on the local area.
