Safety Hypodermic Needles
The supply of Hypodermic Needles which are commonly used with a syringe to inject substances into the body or extract fluids from it. They may also be used to take liquid samples from the body, with a manually operated safety device, usually a cap that folds over to cover the needle. The product will be delivered to and distributed from the NDC (National Distribution Centre) Canderside, South Lanarkshire.
Renewal: 2x12 months extension available
Safety Insulin Needle & SyringeThe supply of a safety insulin needle and syringe which is a hollow plastic tube with a plunger inside and a short skinny needle attached. Insulin is injected into the fatty tissue just under the skin. This is called a subcutaneous tissue, or "sub-Q" injection. This product will be delivered to and distributed from the NDC (National Distribution Centre) Canderside, South Lanarkshire to all Health Boards across Scotland.

Blunt Fill Needle (With Filter)The supply of a Blunt Fill needle, these require a higher puncture penetration force than a conventional sharp, so they are less likely to cause needlestick injuries while preparing and filling medications. The product will be delivered to and distributed from the NDC (National Distribution Centre) Canderside, South Lanarkshire to all Health Boards across Scotland.

Blunt Fill NeedleThe supply of a Blunt Fill Needle that eliminates an unnecessary sharp, 10 x the force to penetrate the skin, compared to a conventional needle, Rapid filling, can cope with viscous medications. The product will be delivered to and distributed from the NDC (National Distribution Centre) Canderside, South Lanarkshire to all the NHS Health Boards across Scotland.

Luer Slip SyringeThe supply of Luer Slip Syringes, featuring a small, plain connection are known as slip tips and are useful for when the syringe is being connected to something not featuring a screw lock mechanism. The product will be delivered to and distributed from the NDC (National Distribution Centre) Canderside, South Lanarkshire to all NHS Health Boards across Scotland.
