Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Ambulance Service has recently completed a procurement process for the project titled "Demand, Capacity & Service Redesign Modelling." This initiative falls under the health services category and was conducted in Edinburgh. The procurement method used was an open procedure, and it has now reached the award stage. The contract was signed on 15th March 2019, with a total value of £268,500. This tender aimed at commissioning consultancy services for demand and capacity modelling, with a focus on supporting the Service in optimising ambulance operations and responding effectively to changing demands.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for consultancy firms specialising in demand and capacity modelling, particularly those with expertise in health services. Businesses that can demonstrate a robust understanding of simulation modelling systems and have the capability to analyse complex operational scenarios will be well positioned to compete.
