Provision of Carer Support Service
Notice Description
Glasgow City Council invites tender bids for the provision of Carers Support Services. Glasgow City Council hopes to appoint one provider in relation to each of the 6 Core Service Lots. Glasgow City Council hopes to appoint one provider in relation to the City Wide Information Service Lot. Glasgow City Council hopes to appoint providers in relation to each of the 3 Additional Services Lots. A Provider can be appointed to no more than two Lots and where possible not in the same geographical area; excluding Lot 7 and Additional Support Services. The appointment of Providers will be on the basis of most economically advantageous tender and the score awarded at tender evaluation stage. Providers must be in a position to commence service delivery from the 1st May 2019. The contract is expected to run for 3 years, commencing 1st May 2019 and ending on 30th April 2022.

A Young Person's Education Worker and Training Co-ordinator. These come as a pair and cannot be split.. Two comprehensive service specification will be available for the tenders to review.
Provision of Carer Support Service - North West.The aim of the service is to improve the quality of life for carers through an outcomes led approach, in partnership with Social Work Carer Teams. The service will be provided to adult carers and young carers, and will be expected to meet the needs of Glasgow's diverse carer population, facilitating communication where required through interpreting services or speech and language support. The service will ensure that as many carers as possible are identified earlier and supported to access good quality information and advice, signposting and preventative support services. The service will help carers to build capacity in their caring role and also seek with them ways to improve their own health and well-being.. Provision of Carer Information Service - City Wide.The Carers Information Service is a key part of Glasgow's universal offer of information and advice for all carers in Glasgow and neighbouring HSCPs across GGC NHS board area. It serves as an integral part of the Glasgow Carers Partnership single point of access. The CIS must be available Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm by way of communication methods such as e.g. email, website contact etc. It cannot provide counselling, advocacy or ongoing case support..
