Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland, is conducting an open procurement process for a Framework Agreement titled "Clozapine Medicines". This procurement falls under the health sector and is based in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement is currently in the award stage, following the tender period that concluded on 16 January 2019. The contract, valued at £4,430,525, has been signed as of 7 March 2019, concerning the supply of Clozapine Medicines catering to health boards across NHS Scotland.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in pharmaceutical supplies, particularly those specialising in psychiatric medications or related medical products. Companies that meet the certification criteria for providing medicines, such as holding a valid UK Marketing Authorisation and possessing ISO 9001 certification, would be well-positioned to compete. Given the significance of this framework in supporting NHS Scotland, suppliers with the capacity to guarantee quality and meet specific health regulations are particularly encouraged to engage in this competitive process.
