East Dunbartonshire Council (EDC) is working in collaboration with the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) with the aim of restoring the physical condition of the River Glazert to good morphology, provide flood risk benefits and enhance local habitat, biodiversity and public amenity in the catchment area. To achieve this EDC seeks to commission a detailed design for restoration which will improve the physical condition of the Glazert and Finglen watercourses. It should allow adequate space for restoration using low intervention, low cost measures and enable the watercourses to do the work. For the Finglen burn it should take account of the requirements of the baseline monitoring site.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to instruct additional ancillary works/surveys that may be required as a result of the tender works. The Contracting Authority's decision in respect of this shall be final.

Renewal: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the contract duration to facilitate completion of the works included within the tender, as detailed in the tender document. The Contract is also subject to Contracting Authority break options as detailed in the tender document.
