Environmental Management System
Notice Description
NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) wishes to procure the services of a contractor[s] to develop and implement an Environmental Management System Tool (EMS) for NHSScotland Boards.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The Environmental Management System Tool (EMS) will assist the NHS Boards in demonstrating that they address and minimise environmental impacts, manage legal compliance and will ensure that continuous improvement with regards to environmental performance is made a priority. The EMS will be appropriate for the diverse nature of the NHSScotland estate, the large number of sites and broad range of activities/environmental aspects. The EMS currently used by NHSScotland is known as "Corporate Greencode". Feedback from users is that it is not user friendly, it has not consistently been adopted across all boards and a new tool is required.

"description": "NSS plans to hold a Suppliers' Day. The purpose of this event is to share ideas about the planned specification for the EMS and to support potential suppliers to network. We anticipate that the EMS Tender will allow bids from consortiums and/or lead and sub-contractors and we therefore hope that the Suppliers' day will support potential bidders to develop initial relationships. The maximum number of attendees that we can accommodate at the Suppliers' Day will be limited by the size of the venue. We may therefore need to restrict attendees as follows: - Potentially 1 attendee per supplier - Priority given to suppliers who return the questionnaire by the specified deadline (see further details below) - Places allocated on a first come first served basis We anticipate that the Suppliers' Day will be held in the Scottish Central Belt (most likely Glasgow or Edinburgh) during the week commencing 11th February. Once the venue booking has been confirmed we will post the finalised details alongside this PIN notice. To register to attend the Suppliers' Day please email Ashleigh.jackson1@nhs.net with \"EMS Suppliers' Day\" in the subject line. We request that suppliers complete the attached questionnaire and return it to Ashleigh Jackson (Ashleigh.jackson1@nhs.net) no later than Friday 25th January, 2019. The responses to the questionnaire will be used to design the format and content of the event. As highlighted above, the number of attendees is restricted by venue capacity and therefore priority will be given to suppliers who return the questionnaire by the deadline.
