Summary of the contracting process

The Moray Council is initiating a public procurement process for the 'Buckie Gateway Artwork', with a budget of £23,500. The aim of this competition is to create and install a gateway feature which meets the theme and specifications set out within the artists brief. The gateway feature will mark the entrance to Buckie by capturing the heritage of Buckie in a contemporary manner and should appeal to both locals and visitors. It should aim to engage, educate and intrigue the public within the context of Buckie's history. The full briefing document can be accessed by registering your interest. To do so you will have to initially register on Public Contract Scotland. This will then allow you to access the Artists brief uploaded with this notice. Please contact procurement@moray.gov.uk should you experience any difficulty in registering your interest.. This is an open competition that provides an exciting challenge for new, emerging or established UK-based artists.Shortlisted artists will be asked to work up their proposals to be put on display for the public to comment on, before the winning artwork is selected.
