The City of Edinburgh Council is required to provide an independent mediation service in respect of disputes or disagreements related to requests for additional support for learning for children with additional support needs. Every education authority is required by law to commission such a mediation service from a body that is independent from the education authority. This is a statutory duty and the requirement will be ongoing.

Renewal: 3 years with the option to extend for an additional two years at 12 month intervals.
