Notice Description

The provider will: 1. Deliver education and training on the NES Mobile Skills Units (for 2019/20 as per calendar schedule - Appendix 1) and ensure education meets the requirements of the CSMEN Quality Assurance frameworks (Appendix 2) with appropriate evaluation of courses. 2. Deliver accredited emergency care courses primarily but not exclusively for doctors, nurses and paramedics delivered as close to rural populations as possible using local facilities. 3. Collaborate in CS MEN prioritized relevant research activities for example into skills decay. 4. Participate as the voice of CS MEN with relevant pre-hospital care education and training organisations eg Scottish Trauma Network. 5. Actively participate in the CS MEN group meetings to promote a national approach to simulation based education. 6. Ensure all facilitators delivering education meet national outcomes framework for simulation based education.

The educational services provided must be: - evidence based - linked to Standard Operating Procedures (for remote and rural locations) and meet the CS MEN's quality assurance system - linked to nationally agreed guidelines used by all clinical organisations involved in the delivery of pre-hospital care in Scotland - provide opportunities for integrated training between organisations whenever possible - regularly evaluated. The successful provider will: 5.1 Be an effective member and active contributor to the NES Clinical Skills Managed Educational Network Group and attend 4-6 meetings per year in Dundee. 5.2 Demonstrate effective partnership working and collaboration with the other members of the NES Clinical Skills Managed Educational Network Group.

Renewal: NHS Education for Scotland reserve the right to extend this contract by a total of 24 months (12+12).
