Notice Description
The scope of this contract covers the removal of the existing cold-water storage tanks within Trust Housing Association's Sheltered Housing Development at Ballechroisk Court, Killin, FK21 8TD. This contract also covers the installation of new mains fed water services to each apartment at the aforementioned Development.

Single stage Open Non-Regulated Works Procurement for the removal of the existing cold-water storage tanks within Trust Housing Association's Sheltered Housing Development at: Ballechroisk Court, Killin, FK21 8TD This contract also covers the installation of new mains fed water services to each apartment at the aforementioned Development. The work content comprises the following; (a) To isolate, drain down and carefully remove 9no galvanised steel cold-water storage tanks from the attic crawl space above the first floor corridor. (b) To amend existing incoming water mains with the attic crawl space to serve apartments and communal areas. (c) To isolate, drain down and carefully remove 18no copper calorifiers from the flats and communal spaces. (d) To install 18no new copper calorifiers to the flats and communal spaces. (e) The Contractor shall allow for any additional pipework alterations, including all necessary fitting and thermal insulation, as detailed throughout the specification. (f) To carry out all necessary isolation, draining, chlorinating, refilling, testing of the water services as necessary. (g) The Contractor shall allow for any necessary builderswork that is required to complete the works associated with the Tank removals. (h) The Contractor shall allow for the inspection of existing cold-water services pipework and advising the Client/Engineer of any obsolete/damaged sections of pipework which shall require to be replaced. No pipework shall be replaced without prior Client Approval.
Renewal: The client may negotiate further similar works with the successful bidder. Any future negotiations to be entirely at the discretion of Trust Housing Association.
