Summary of the contracting process

Trust Housing Association Ltd., located in Edinburgh, is currently engaged in a procurement process for the "Trust H.A. Framework for Re-roofing and Associated Works: 2019-2023." This tender pertains to the housing and community amenities industry and involves the provision of re-roofing services across Scotland. The procurement is at the Award stage, with the contract already signed on 15 August 2019. The Framework Agreement will allow up to three contractors to be appointed for each of the two Lots, specifically for projects in West Lodge Gardens, Alloa, and Corrie Terrace, Isle of Arran. This was an open tender, and any interested suppliers were advised to respond electronically no later than 26 April 2019 at 12:00 PM.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in roofing and construction services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are able to demonstrate relevant experience and compliance with industry standards. Bidders are expected to have membership in recognised trade organisations such as the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and must provide evidence of their operational capabilities. Companies with experience in housing projects, particularly those capable of meeting the regulatory requirements for quality assurance and insurance, will find themselves well-positioned to compete for this ongoing framework, which allows for further mini-tendering competitions among appointed contractors for future works.
