    "description": "The purpose of this notice is to inform the market of our intention to re-tender the Legal Services Framework and collate notes of interest from legal firms. At this stage this is for information only. The City of Edinburgh Council (the \"Council\") wishes to inform potential providers of the intention to tender external legal services through a six lot framework agreement. It is anticipated that other Scottish local authorities will have access to utilise the framework agreement. The lots have been identified as: 1. Commercial 2. Property and Planning 3. Litigation 4. Employment 5. Major Projects 6. Debt Recovery It is expected that the new framework will be for a period of two years with the option (at the Council's discretion) to extend for a further two periods of one year each. Providers who may be interested in tendering for this opportunity are encouraged to note interest via Public Contracts Scotland.
