Summary of the contracting process

The Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER Local Action Group is seeking tenders for the management of the "Foraging Fortnight", a new festival aimed at celebrating Scotland's natural environment and wild food. This initiative falls under the services category and is being coordinated across five LEADER areas in Scotland, with an estimated contract value of £40,000. The procurement method is open, and the tender period is set to close on 23 April 2019 at 12:00 PM. The project’s duration will run from May 2019 until the end of October 2020, with the successful candidate expected to engage local businesses and organisations while ensuring a professional delivery of the festival activities.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for event management firms, particularly those with experience in coordinating festivals, engaging community stakeholders, and managing budgets, to contribute to a unique project that promotes local culture and tourism. Businesses that specialise in event planning, marketing, and hospitality services will find this a fitting competition, and those equipped to handle varying scales of activities—from free community events to commercially viable ventures—will be well-suited to respond to this call for tenders.
