Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Forestry and Land Scotland, which is seeking contractors for managing deer and other wildlife on the Scotland National Forest Estate through an open tender titled "Deer (and other wildlife) Management on the Scotland National Forest Estate". This tender is taking place across multiple regions in Scotland, including the North, East, West, Central, and South Regions. The procurement method is an open procedure, with a submission deadline of 29 May 2019. The contract, estimated at £10.5 million, includes various tasks focusing on humane and cost-effective wildlife management.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the wildlife and forestry sectors. Businesses involved in deer management, environmental consultancy, or related services would be well-suited to compete. The contract requires service providers to engage with community benefits, including providing opportunities for local SMEs, which adds an extra dimension for firms looking to participate.
