Summary of the contracting process

Forestry and Land Scotland is initiating a procurement process titled "C0141 Steep Ground Harvesting - Request for Information". This is part of the environmental protection industry and is primarily located along the A82 trunk road between Glencoe and Inverness, UK. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a response deadline of 17:00 (BST) on Friday, 24 May 2019. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the organisation via email or telephone for further information. The Future Notice date is scheduled for 5 August 2019.

This procurement opportunity allows businesses involved in forestry services, particularly those with expertise in complex extraction techniques such as skyline or cable crane harvesting, to engage with Forestry and Land Scotland. The tender is designed to gather information from the market, which suggests that companies capable of demonstrating their experience in challenging terrains and heavy operations would be well-suited to compete once it progresses to a formal tendering stage. This is an excellent opportunity for growth, particularly for specialist contractors in the environmental and forestry sectors.
