Scottish Government is considering engaging partners to help achieve improved government services using digital ways of working and driving reuse. This is to extend the capacity and capability of the Digital Transformation Division team. This PIN is to invite potential bidders to a Bidder Day on 19/7/19 in Edinburgh, to discuss the aims and scope of the proposed partnership and to set out the strategic context. Example activities to be commissioned under this agreement are set out as additional information.

Lot 1

The Digital Transformation Division (DTD) is responsible for promoting and supporting digital transformation projects across the public sector. The Scottish Government wishes to procure a Digital Partner Service to extend the capacity and capability of the division. We are investing possible approaches to let a one year partnership contract with suppliers with a potential extension of one further year. The suppliers will work with DTD at a strategic level to plan work, agree the best approach and make best use of the budget and resources available to deliver the biggest impact. It is anticipated that work will be commissioned as a combination of project and resource-based work packages. We are also seeking partners who can contribute strategic advice and digital innovation to government programmes as part of the potential partnership arrangements. The work will involve delivering digital public services and, as such, will require to conform to the Scottish Digital First Standard. A core element of the services will also be to maximise re-use across government - standards, methods, components and platforms. We will be holding a bidder day on Tuesday the 19th July, 10:00 - 13:00 in Edinburgh in the Scottish Government office at Victoria Quay, Edinburgh. The attendance will be limited to 2 individuals per organisation and to be book your place please use the Eventbrite link in the additional information attached to this notice. The day will cover the following areas: - Strategic context and drivers for partnership - What the Scottish Government requires from a partnership - Outline of the planning and commissioning process - Examples of the work to be commissioned through the contract: - Supplier project work - Joint teams - Advice services - Opportunity for potential bidders to ask Scottish Government Digital Transformation team questions in an open forum.
