Summary of the contracting process

Williamsburgh Housing Association Limited, a Registered Social Landlord based in Paisley, is conducting an open procurement process titled "Legionella Risk Assessments and Management to Existing Properties." This contract will primarily address Legionella risk assessments and management of water storage tanks across properties located in Paisley, Renfrew, Elderslie, and Johnstone. The procurement stage is currently complete, with the contract, valued at approximately £301,001.40, having been signed on 16th December 2019. The contract duration is set for four years, starting from the anticipated commencement date of 2nd September 2019, including an optional 12-month extension. All Year 1 services must be completed by 31st January 2020.

This procurement presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs specialising in environmental services, plumbing, and facility management. The ability to demonstrate technical and professional expertise is critical, as bidders must achieve a minimum score in specific evaluation criteria, including quality and price. With a "Meet the Buyer" event previously held to facilitate connections between Williamsburgh Housing Association and potential suppliers, businesses that provide comprehensive risk management or compliance services related to water safety would find this tender particularly relevant. The anticipated contract also allows for potential involvement in follow-on work beyond Year 1, providing further avenues for growth within the local market.
