Notice Description

As a landlord, the Council has a duty to carry out maintenance/servicing/inspection of its properties to ensure the safety of tenants and others. Tenants are obliged, as per the conditions of tenancy, to give access to their homes. However, a minority of tenants fail to adhere to the policy and refuse to provide access. The Council has a requirement for a suitably qualified contractor to attend properties with Council officers (or representatives - Engineers, Surveyors and Contractors) and gain access to these properties through non-destructive means. The service will be flexible and customer focused and excellent communication links are essential to the service being delivered successfully.

Lot 1

The successful Contractor will provide attendance (half day or full day) accompanying a Council officer (and/or representatives) to various addresses throughout North Ayrshire and providing access through non-destructive means. Occasional requirements include: repairing or replacing locks. These are typical services that will be required, and each order will specify the actual requirements.
