Summary of the contracting process

The Caledonia Housing Association is currently conducting a tender for the "Colocation of existing data services and communications". This procurement falls within the housing and community amenities sector and is situated in Perth, UK. The procurement method is an open procedure, and the tender period is set to close on 29 July 2019, with the bid opening taking place on 30 July 2019 at a specified location in Dundee. The total budget for this project is £94,000, and the awarded contract will cover existing data services for a duration of one year while an IT strategy review is undertaken.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in data services and communications, particularly those with capabilities in GDPR compliance and information security standards. Companies that possess a strong track record in delivering comprehensive data management solutions, alongside relevant certifications such as ISO 27001, will find themselves well-positioned to compete for this contract. Additionally, firms with sufficient financial standing and insurances in place, as detailed in the selection criteria, would be prime candidates for participation, aiding in their potential growth within the public sector.

Lot 1

Caledonia are making an award based on a Direct Award basis for a 1 year contract to cover existing data services and data link contracts whilst an IT strategy review is carried out. Once completed there will be a tender for a 3 year contract that will be based on the findings of this review. The migration of existing business applications and data links would make open tendering un-viable.

Renewal: Dependent on completion of IT strategy review
