Summary of the contracting process

North Lanarkshire Council is inviting tenders for the "Foundation Apprenticeship Delivery, Civil Engineering 2019-2021 Cohort" project, aimed at providing education services to approximately 46 students in Central Scotland. This open procurement process is currently at the tender submission stage, with the deadline for bid submissions set for 9th August 2019. The estimated contract value is £170,000, and the contract period spans 720 days, with an award decision expected shortly after the bid opening on the same day.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in educational services, especially those specialising in civil engineering training or similar areas. Companies equipped to deliver apprenticeship programmes, particularly those that can accommodate the logistical and educational needs for transitioning local youths into engineering roles, would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, businesses that meet the necessary technical standards and insurance requirements will have a strong advantage in successfully securing this contract.
