Lot Information
Lot 1
Located on the Barrack Block at Edinburgh Castle, there are several aerials with associated equipment. Historic Environment Scotland require a Service Provider to manage the aerial installations and to collect income from the users of these installations on Historic Environment Scotland's behalf. The Service Provider may, at the sole discretion of Historic Environment Scotland, be required to provide management of telecommunication and radio equipment located within the barrack block, Edinburgh Castle for ad-hoc requirements. These must be quoted for and agreed with the authorised person who wishes to place the order. Ad-hoc requirements should occur very rarely, if at all. All current leases to use the site require to be renegotiated and new leases put in place. All current users are to have new leases negotiated and must not extend beyond the length of this Contract with Historic Environment Scotland. These lease agreements will run concurrently with the Management contract agreement with Historic Environment Scotland and terminate at the end of the contract. The lease agreements must not be made binding with the site users unless they have had prior written approval from the Contract Manager at Historic Environment Scotland. The Service Provider will also be responsible for ensuring that all the Site Users of the radio equipment in the Barrack Block have all the relevant licences to operate from OFCOM.
Renewal: The Contract will cover the period from 01 December 2019 to 30 November 2024 with 2 (two) options to extend for an additional 12 + 12 months. The maximum contract period will therefore be 7 (seven) years dependent upon satisfactory completion of all aspects of the contract to date.

"description": "HES use Scotbis, an independent provider of business credit reports, to assess the financial standing of tenderers. The overall aim of this assessment is to ensure, as far as possible, that any potential Supplier will not have financial difficulties that endanger their ability to perform the Contract. If financial information cannot be gained from that source Historic Environment Scotland will request that you provide full audited accounts for the last full financial year. If Suppliers cannot provide any of the assurances as detailed above, and it is determined by HES that your financial strength is not adequate, then your company may not pass the financial evaluation. If you can provide the assurances as detailed above, HES may explore these options with you before determining whether your company can be taken forward in this procurement exercise. Bank details may also be sought to support the above. With reference to ESPD (Scotland) question 4B.5, it is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain, prior to the commence of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below: - Employers (compulsory) Liability Insurance - GDP 10 million - Public Liability Insurance - GDP 10 million"
