Notice Description

To carry out annual inspection of outdoor playgrounds in accordance with BS EN 1176 and British and EU standards to an agreed schedule of visits to cover all scheduled sites. Inspection will be carried out by competent persons who have suitable training, experience and qualifications, in strict accordance, at least, with the manufacturer's instructions. Inspection will be carried out by competent persons who have suitable training, experience and qualifications such as through The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) or Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) or equivalent, in strict accordance with Law and Guidance and manufacturer's instructions.

Lot 1

To carry out annual inspection of outdoor playgrounds in accordance with BS EN 1176 and British and EU standards to an agreed schedule of visits to cover all scheduled sites. Inspection will be carried out by competent persons who have suitable training, experience and qualifications, in strict accordance, at least, with the manufacturer's instructions. Inspection will be carried out by competent persons who have suitable training, experience and qualifications such as through The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) or Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) or equivalent, in strict accordance with Law and Guidance and manufacturer's instructions. The contract is expected to be for annual inspections but might also cover a range of additional inspections which may include, but are not limited to, pre-installation inspection, post-installation inspection, play value inspection, accident inspection, inclusive play inspection or requests for additional reports and risk assessment, for example, asset management, condition or accident reports. The inspector will be required to report on items of height such as swing bushes, cableways, trim lines etc.

Renewal: The contract will commence on 23 September 2019 for a period of one year with the option to extend for up to two further 12 months, undertaken at the sole discretion of the Council.
