Summary of the contracting process

The University of Strathclyde is planning a tender for hydraulic servicing and repairs for the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) at Inchinnan, Renfrew. This procurement falls under the services category and aims to identify a supplier capable of providing annual service and rapid response to equipment breakdowns. Interested parties should register their interest by the close of business on 18th September, with a questionnaire to be released on 20th September and due by 27th September. The notice has been classified under the legal basis of the GPA and the relevant CPV code for service procurement.

This upcoming tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the hydraulic servicing and engineering sectors, particularly those with experience in maintaining and repairing complex hydraulic systems. Companies that can demonstrate capabilities in adhering to ISO and OHSAS standards, alongside rapid-response service provisions, will be well-positioned to compete. Access to hydraulic supplies on short lead times and knowledge of electrical engineering could also give bidders a competitive edge in securing this contract.
