The scope of the procurement is to appoint a Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved training provider for Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) training for statutory safety training courses to the Council's sea staff in accordance with the Manila Convention 2010.

Lot 1

Suppliers must provide expert personnel who are suitably qualified and experienced trainers. A proven track record in delivering MCA approved STCW marine based training is essential. Suppliers must provide all course administration services including the issue of appropriate certification to the candidate and Shetland Islands Council upon successful completion. Suppliers to provide details of their course cancellation policy which will be considered by the Council. A degree of flexibility due to travel will be required if the training is to be delivered off-island.
