    "description": "Edinburgh Napier University would like to draw attention to a procurement activity that Edinburgh Napier University intends to undertake in collaboration with Heriot- Watt University within the next 2-3 months. The requirement is for the introduction of a Minor Works Framework Agreement (which would be available for use by both Universities) for a 3- year period with an option for a further 12 month extension. The Framework Agreement would consist of the following Lots: - Lot 1: 0- 100k GBP Minor Works banding - Lot 2: 100k - 500k GBP Minor Works banding - Lot 3: 500k- 2 million GBP Minor Works banding It is currently envisaged there will be 3-4 Contractors awarded on each Lot. It would be anticipated that for the Contractors awarded to each Lot, a significant element, if not the majority of the Contractor's individual works projects carried out in an annual period would fall within the commercial bandings of the Lot they were awarded to. Please refer to the Prior Information Notice document attached to this notice for additional information. Please also note that the Invitation to Tender (ITT) will be subject to a separate contract notice on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), and it is that notice which potential applicants will need to respond to at the appropriate time when it is published. Interested bidders should please note that full details of the Framework Agreement requirements will be provided in the Tender documentation when it is published and are not currently available at this stage. As part of the Prior Information Notice (PIN), Information is being sought from service providers of Minor Works to identify their note of interest and ability to provide the Minor Works against the specific Lots. Both Universities would actively welcome notes of interest from any SME's, supported business ,social enterprises who are able to provide the Works under any of the various Lots. In addition, please note that the University is holding a Market Engagement Day on 19th November 2019 at Edinburgh Napier University's Sighthill Campus. The Market Engagement Day will consist of two sessions' morning and afternoon. Both sessions will be of the same content and format but have been split into two sessions in order to accommodate the expected interest in the Market Engagement Day. Both Universities would like to invite any service providers interested in the forthcoming tender exercise to attend the Market Engagement Day. In addition to this question and answer session we appreciate that some service providers may wish to ask questions separately and out-with the session and to accommodate this we have allocated a 5 day period after the Market Engagement Day in order to facilitate any feedback/questions that service providers may wish to issue directly regarding their views on the Tender exercise as well as any questions service providers may have that have arisen from both the Market Engagement Day and this Prior Information Note. We would request that interested bidders limit their number of attendees to the Market Engagement Day to no more than 2 attendees.
