An automated high precision optical 3D scanner is required to conduct measurement on a range of different components, with the ability for high throughput, and the inclusion of integrated software for comparison with CAD data. The core requirements of the machine(s) are detailed below: - Fully automated scanning system capable of determining pose and number of scans - Operated without the need of an experienced robot programmer - A measuring area covering the range of 200 mm2 - 800 mm2 - Extendable measuring area beyond the maximum measuring area - up to 2500 mm2 - Compliance with VDI/VDE 2634 Part 3: 2008 with the stated performance specifications set out below using standard acceptance artefact: - MA = 200 mm2/ MA = 800 mm2 - PF<=0.005 / PF<=0.010 / PF - Probing Error Form (sigma) - PS<=0.010 / PS<=0.025 / PS - Probing Error Size - SD<=0.015 / SD<=0.060 / SD - Sphere Spacing Error - E<=0.025 / E<=0.080 / E - Length Measurement Error - Data acquisition at least 10,000,000 points per scan - Integrated rotary table for part to be scanned - Automatically adjusted projected light source to reduce noise on reflective surfaces - Operating temperature range 10degC - 30degC
