Notice Description
West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership will have a forthcoming requirement for sensory impairment provision (Hearing Impairment and Vision Impairment) for adults and children in West Lothian. There will be 20 hours of direct service provision per week; 52 weeks a year which will be deployed in a flexible manner to best meet the needs of the service and the service users.

Hearing Impairment
West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership will have a forthcoming requirement for Hearing impairment provision for adults and children in West Lothian. Provision of communication support will be made available to people who have difficulties accessing services. The service will be primarily for people who use British Sign Language as their first language, people who are deafblind and the wider deaf community, their families and carers. The service will work closely with services such as the Single Point of Access to ensure service users have appropriate advice, support and sign posting, where they are not eligible for a social work service. This will also include a scheduled cycle of drop in sessions across West Lothian and regular communication sessions. There will be 20 hours of direct service provision per week; 52 weeks a year which will be deployed in a flexible manner to best meet the needs of the service and the service users.
Vision ImpairmentWest Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership will have a forthcoming requirement for sight loss provision for adults and children in West Lothian. The service will be for people with sight loss to promote their independence, ensures people with sight loss are provided with 1:2:1 support and training from a trained Rehabilitation and Mobility Officer, ensure people with sight loss are signposted to other relevant services to support and maximise their independence. There will be 20 hours of direct service provision per week; 52 weeks a year which will be deployed in a flexible manner to best meet the needs of the service and the service users.
