We are currently expanding our online learning portfolio and are looking to establish a Media Production Framework Agreement to provide additional capacity for when the internal service is not able to match demand. All media content must be consistent in style, whether produced in-house or externally. The Agreement is for the provision of Educational Video Production Services and will cover all and we are looking to appoint 3 to 5 suppliers. For each work request we will approach all suppliers on the Agreement with the proposed scope of work for a quotation, including number of videos required, names, contacts and availability of key academics involved, the types of shoots involved, an estimate of their duration and location as well as the final deadline for submission of the finished videos.

The University of Edinburgh Information Services operates an Educational Media Service run by experienced production staff and with access to a fully equipped onsite media studio. We are currently expanding our online learning portfolio and are looking to establish a Media Production Framework Agreement to provide additional capacity for times when the internal service is not able to match demand. It is crucial that all media content is consistent in style, whether produced in-house or by external suppliers. The Framework Agreement is for the provision of Educational Video Production Services and will cover all video production services for educational video content and we are looking to appoint 3 to 5 suppliers. For each individual work request we will approach all the suppliers on the Framework Agreement with the proposed scope of work for a quotation, including number of videos required, names, contacts and availability of key academics involved, the types of shoots involved, an estimate of their duration and location as well as the final deadline for submission of the finished videos. The suppliers will then have 3 working days to submit a Confirmation of Interest as to whether the request and timeline can be met as well as to provide a quote for the cost of production. We will then select one supplier to engage for that particular work request as described in the individual work request. Upon engagement for a particular piece of work, Suppliers will have a minimum of one month's lead time until the start of video production. During this period we will provide the final video scripts and storyboards. A final delivery timeline, including filming dates and locations, will be agreed between the University and the supplier. For each individual work request the University will provide a Requirements of Work to all suppliers. This will include the number of videos, specifications on the video format, file size and length, specifications on the style(s) to be used across videos (e.g. pieces to camera, location, shots etc), final deadline for the completion of the piece of work and primary contacts for the work. Once a supplier has been selected for a specific piece of work we will provide the following Content and Requirements package:- Video scripts edited and proof read, detailed storyboards of all videos, Confirmed list of academics. Their availability and contact details as well as periods of unavailability. Final location requirements such as studio, campus location etc. Final details of required post production effects such as requirement for lower thirds, sound production, colour grading, illustration etc. Specific check in or meeting dates. Names and contacts of University staff responsible for sign-offs. Check-in dates will also be agreed during this time. The Supplier is expected to show the University one completed video on the check-in date to ensure that style and quality regulations have been met before proceeding with editing the rest of the videos in the agreed piece of work.
