Summary of the contracting process

LHC for the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) is currently conducting a tender titled "Dynamic Purchasing System for Whole House Refurbishment" aimed at establishing a dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for various refurbishment projects across Scotland. This procurement is classified under works and employs a selective method, specifically a restricted procedure. The tender period is set to conclude on 18th December 2019, and the initiative is valued at £500 million. The procurement addresses multiple categories, including kitchens, bathrooms, electrical works, and landscaping among others, aiming to cater to SPA Partners' needs throughout Scotland.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and contractors in the refurbishment sector as it encourages participation across six distinct categories. Businesses with expertise in installation, landscaping, electrical works, and multi-disciplinary services are particularly suited to compete. Additionally, the DPS format allows organisations to qualify as suppliers in one or more lots, increasing their chances of securing contracts in the evolving public sector market while benefiting from community-focused procurement requirements.
