Notice Title
Provision of Optical Coherence Tomography System
Notice Description
A state-of-the art optical coherence tomography system is required at the Centre for Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) in Glasgow. The instrument is required to conduct measurement on a range of different pharmaceutical materials, with the ability for high throughput, and the inclusion of integrated software for analysing the data.
Lot Information
Lot 1
An optical coherence tomography (OCT) system with the capability of using it in a 1D, 2D and 3D mode. The core requirements of the instrument are detailed below: > Centre wavelength: 850 - 1000 nm > Axial resolution: < 5 um > A-scan rate: > 150 kHz > Sensitivity (at 5 kHz acquisition rate): 90 dB > 3D scanner with lateral resolution of < 10 um > Exchangeable scan lenses to change the focal length (e.g. from ~20 mm to ~50 mm) > 12 month warranty that includes any software updates, with optional extensions for years two and three > Commissioning and training on-site > Integrated software: - Scan position control (lateral size of scan). - Access to raw data (spectra) and processed data (A-scans). - Acquisition control including scan averaging and scan speed. - Visualisation of raw data (e.g. spectrum), A-scans (1D) and B-scans (2D) in real-time. - 3D visualisation of data including rendered volumes and sectional views. - Continuous acquisition of A-scans for process monitoring. - Exporting of data.. Potential bidders are asked to note their interest against this PIN by COB 29/11/19, at which point further details regarding the pre-tender market engagement will be released.
