Glasgow City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced contractor for the purpose of carrying out restoration and enhancement works at Provan Hall, a 16th century Category A listed building, situated in Auchinlea Park, Easterhouse, Glasgow.

Provan Hall is a Category A listed building of national significance and one of the oldest buildings in Glasgow. The Provan Hall Restoration project is intended to repair and enhance the buildings and celebrate their importance as part of the City's history. The project is to be carried out alongside works by others including formation of the Seven Lochs Wetland Park, which will reconnect the buildings with their wider landscape. These projects will provide increased awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of the heritage to a much wider audience than currently exists. This knowledge and awareness is a key tool for protection of the heritage and will ensure that the risk of any further loss or damage is minimised. The repaired and enhanced buildings will: - Secure an important part of the built heritage from loss or further decay. - Encourage a greater appreciation of the built heritage and its future care and - protection. - Contribute to the social, environmental and economic regeneration of the area. - Provide a key 'gateway' for visitors and the community to access the Seven Lochs - Wetland Park.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if there are any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
