Lot Information

Tracking of Leach's Storm Petrel

The objective of Lot 3 is to track Leach's Storm Petrel breeding on the islands of St Kilda and North Rona to gather data on distribution and habitat use in the west of Scotland. These data will provide information to help inform our understanding of the species movements and potential exposure to pressures at sea.

Training on tagging great black-backed gulls

The objective of Lot 4 is the provision of training to deploy telemetry tags on Great Black-backed Gulls using weak-link harnesses. This is to build capacity within the research community to allow data on the distribution, movement and behaviour of the species in Scotland to be gathered so that we better understand the pressures that it may encounter.

Tracking of Manx Shearwater

The objective of Lot 1 is to track Manx Shearwater breeding on the Isle of Rum to gather data on distribution and habitat use in the west of Scotland. These data will provide information to help inform our understanding of the species movements and potential exposure to pressures at sea.

Tracking of European Storm Petrel

The objective of Lot 2 is to track European Storm Petrel breeding on the Treshnish Islands and Priest Island to gather data on distribution and habitat use in the west of Scotland. These data will provide information to help inform our understanding of the species movements and potential exposure to pressures at sea.
