The University intends to contract with POLYGON PHYSICS for the supply, delivery and commissioning of Equipment for Extreme Performance Optical Coatings. The equipment will: - have multi ion sources system allowing co-evaporation up to 24 elements and multilayer deposition without vacuum breaking. - have extraction potentials for ion sources to be stable (i.e. no plasma discharge) up to 10kV. - have must uniformity of sputtered thin films over 80mm diameter to be 2% or better, prior to implementing planetary or rotational staging. - have a crystal monitor for in-situ measurement of film thickness The system will be installed at University of Strathclyde John Anderson Campus, Glasgow, UK.
