Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process under review is for the "Award of Transport Scotland Property Legal Services," initiated by the Scottish Government. This service falls under the industry category of business services, specifically law, marketing, consulting, recruitment, printing, and security. The procurement period commenced on 6th February 2020 and will end on 6th February 2024. This tender is currently at the Award stage, with a contract value of £232,800, signed on 5th February 2020. The contracts are associated with legal services for trunk roads and rail operations in Scotland, focusing on property law services related to various transport infrastructure projects.

This tender presents significant opportunities for law firms and legal consultancies with experience in public procurement, property law, and related legal services. Potential competitors would benefit from a strong background in infrastructure projects, particularly those involving trunk roads and rail services, ensuring they can deliver the comprehensive legal support required by Transport Scotland. Businesses with expertise in managing similar legal prerequisites will find this an advantageous opportunity to expand their client base within the public sector.
