Notice Description
The Investment Committee of the University of Edinburgh is responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of the endowment investments. The investment portfolio was valued at 529m GBP at 31 December 2019 The University of Edinburgh Court appoints members to the Investment Committee drawn from both Court members and external investment professionals. Key Roles and Responsibilities - Sets investment policy and strategy - Determines asset allocation - Identifies Fund Managers - Monitors fund performance - Advises University Court on its investment programme The Investment Committee is looking for someone who can make recommendations as well as stimulate debate around its investment strategy and objectives and support it in its key roles and responsibilities. The Committee has expertise on asset allocation but it will require advice on, for example, particular topics such as infrastructure investments, and manager selection. It is important that the consultant has the capacity to research topics raised and generate analyses and reports. The Committee envisages someone who will have the back-up of a team with diverse knowledge of the investment sector.
