Notice Description

The works comprise ground investigation works to inform development of flood protection scheme consisting of approximately 8 No. breaking out of hardstanding areas to allow for the advancement of boreholes / CPTs. 8 to 12 No. cable percussive boreholes with soil coring (wireline) follow-on to a maximum depth of 95m bgl; and 6 to 10 No. CPTs to maximum depth of 75m bgl. Insitu testing for soil properties and contamination; Laboratory testing for soil properties and contamination levels; Topographical survey of borehole and trial pit locations levels; Provision of factual report on investigation; Working alongside major, ecologically-important watercourses with time bound constraints. Working on land operated and controlled by the petrochemical refinery Petroineos under permitting procedures.
